Community Support

Jesus commanded us to feed the hungry and clothe the naked. St. Joseph Community Support acts to help the less fortunate in our communities of Manhattan and Elwood. Contributions and donations come from our Parish Family. All monies collected are used for families/individuals residing in the Manhattan/Elwood area. We regularly purchase food and school supplies for the food pantries in both towns. Other projects the group organizes include: a Giving Tree at Christmas, a Lenten project, and an annual clothing drive. We are there to lend a hand when people find they have fallen upon very hard times. Some situations are beyond our means and in those times we try to match the needs of the person or family with the organizations that have greater resources.
