Rosary Makers

Rosary Makers

The Rosary Makers Group was established in August of 2007. The first meeting was held in the church hall in October 2007 with the consent and approval of Fr. John McGeean, pastor. Our mission is to provide rosaries free of charge to the foreign missions, the U.S. missions and the military. Material costs, shipping and handling costs are paid by the Rosary Makers. We do not receive funds from the church. To date we have sent out 2,610 rosaries. We believe for every rosary we place in someone's hands; it is one more rosary being said.

In August 2008, as a way of bringing additional funds to our treasury, the Rosary Makers introduced Cancer Awareness Rosaries for cancer victims, survivors and loved ones. Since then, we have added more Awareness Rosaries. Our rosaries are $6.00 dollars each. We also sell First Communion Gifts. They include white and navy blue Rosaries and albums with 20 pictures depicting the Mysteries of the Rosary, basic reflections on each of the Mysteries, instructions on how to pray the Rosary, additional prayers, and pages to hold 50 photos of that special day. Also available is a four CD audio set on the four mysteries of the Rosary and a set containing pictures of each. These are wonderful gifts for persons confined at home or in the nursing home. For more information, please call our parish offices at (815) 478-3341.

The Rosary Makers welcome everyone (men, women and teens). We meet each month on the 3rd Monday of each month to work on our Rosaries. Please consider joining us--it's fun and a wonderful act of charity. We happily accept monetary donations.
